Genesis 1:20-24 informs us that the birds, sea creatures and land animals were all created AFTER THEIR KIND. After what kind? This said statement implies that something of the like preceded these birds, sea creatures and land animals. Notice in contrast: when Elohim created the sun, moon and stars, the statement...."after their kind" is absent.

In the book of Ezekiel, we find the images of angelic beings described. Some have wings like birds, faces like an ox, faces like an eagle, feet like a calves foot (Ez 1:4-12). It appears that Elohim has an angelic zoo.

Notice how the images of some demons are described: Revelation 16:13 tells us that the unclean spirits that proceed from out of the dragon, beast and false prophet look like FROGS.

In Psalms 22, the writer (assuming King David) prophesied the time when Christ hung on the cross. In verses 12-13, we're informed that the bulls of Bashan encircled Christ. They opened their mouths against Him like a raging and roaring lion. These Bulls of Bashan were no doubt demons.

Now consider the gods of Egypt. In Exodus 12:12 and Numbers 33:4 we're told the YHWH executed judgement upon all of their gods. For two examples: the plague of the FROGS (Exodus 8), the plague upon all of the LIVESTOCK (Exodus 9). The Egyptian people were not stupid people in one sense. I honestly believe that these people most likely saw demons in the images such as frogs, bulls, calves etc. For this reason, they worshipped the physical species.

When the Israelites were in the dessert, they created the image of the Egyptian calf god (Exodus 32:1-4). They created the golden calf while Moses was atop the mountain.

Based upon plain scriptures, Elohim created an Angelic Zoo before the physical creation in Genesis. I think this aspect of the creation also falls within the Romans 1:20 category. The spiritual realm can be understood through and by the means of the physical creation.
