The Oral Law

Written by Felicia Trecek

In the Judaica Encyclopedia under Oral Law, pg 1439 reads the following:
(Capitalization emphasis my own.)

The authoritative interpretation of the written law.

Even those statutes of the Torah that appear to be clearly formulated and detailed contain more that is obscure and requires explanation than what is manifest and understandable. The reasons given for this are many...

The law, "he shall surely be put to death" (Ex. 21:12 et al.), does not state whether by stoning, burning, or some other method not mentioned in the Torah. "And you shall afflict your souls" (Lev. 16:31) does not indicate whether it means by mortification of the body through ascetic practices, by fasting, or in some other manner.

Furthermore the Oral Law lays down explicitly that from the Moment of the giving of the Written Law from Heaven, at Sinai, but in the language of men and to men it is handed over ABSOLUTELY TO THE JUDGMENT OF THE HUMAN INTELLIGENCE OF THE SCHOLARS OF THE ORAL LAW.

THE ORAL LAW IS ABLE TO CIRCUMVENT THE WRITTEN LAW.

THE ORAL LAW IS IN CONFLICT WITH THE TORAH
The written Law by the hand of Moses is what we are to guard and do, not books authored and written by men of (what is known today as) Orthodox Judaism such as the oral law. However, Orthodox Judaism claims the Oral Law was given to Moses by YHWH, but not originally written by the hand of Moses. But, Deut 4:2 reads, "Do not add to the Word which I command you, and do not take away from it, as to guard the commands of YHWH your Elohim which I am commanding you." Read also, Deut 12:32, Prov 30:6 and Rev 22:18-19. Orthodox Judaism have made YHWH into a liar! (From the beginning, man has changed the truth of YHWH into falsehood - Rom 1:25). When the Messiah taught the people and when He defended Himself against Satan, He always prefaced His statements with, "For it is written." Messiah, Himself, always quoted from the books of Moses or the prophets, not any books authored by the Pharisees or scribes!
